Our History
The journey of Long Ears Recovery
2015
Long Ears Recovery was founded with a simple mission: to provide a safe haven for donkeys and mules in need. Our first rescue saved three abandoned donkeys from a neglected farm.
2017
We expanded our facilities and welcomed our first veterinary partner, allowing us to provide comprehensive medical care to rescued animals. This year we saved over 20 donkeys.
2020
Despite challenges, we launched our adoption program and successfully rehomed 15 donkeys and mules to loving forever homes. Our volunteer program grew to over 50 active members.
2025
Today, Long Ears Recovery has rescued over 100 animals and continues to be a leading voice in donkey and mule welfare. We've expanded our educational programs to reach thousands.
